Clinics

Baby Clinic – Usually last Tuesday of the month 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Health Visitor and Nurse Mercy for childhood vaccinations (appointments need to be booked with the nurse for vaccinations).
Travel Vaccinations – Make an appointment with our Nurse Mercy in one of her usual clinics.
My Care, My Way (MCMW) – Coordinating services for our patients aged 65 and over. If you are interested, ask to speak to the Practice Manager. She will send a message for one of the team to contact you. She will need to ask for your permission to give your information to the MCMW team.
Counselling – There are many different kinds of counselling depending on your reason for seeing this.
Family Planning – All doctors and nurses are trained to provide you with advice regarding contraception. However, we are unable to provide a coil fitting service or implants. Please ask for details where this can be arranged.
Minor Ailments Scheme – If you have a minor ailment, your community pharmacist can treat you instead. For a list of local pharmacists, please see the useful address section.
Palliative Care – End of life care is provided to people whose illness may no longer be curable. Services are provided in several settings. They also provide family support and bereavement services. For further information please speak to your GP or nurse.
Physiotherapy – This is provided by Healthshare who can be contacted on 020 3752 6060. Please note that we do not have access to physiotherapy appointments; you would need to contact a physiotherapist directly.
Child Vaccinations – We advise that all babies and young children should attend our well-baby clinics on the last Tuesday of each month between 2:00 and 3:30 pm. Roberta, our attached Health Visitor, will be present. Our Practice Nurse is available to give immunisations at this time; you can pre-book these to help organise your time. This practice follows the National Policy for childhood immunisation. Further information can be found here.
Health Checks – Health checks are available for some patients over the age of 40 years. This involves an assessment of your risks for developing heart disease and a simple examination, e.g., blood pressure, urine check and cholesterol level if appropriate. This is particularly important if you smoke, or have a family history of coronary heart disease at an early age (less than 60 years). Our Practice Nurses will give advice and follow-up support on giving up smoking, losing weight, lowering your cholesterol levels and following a healthy lifestyle.
Stop Smoking Clinic – Our specialist Stop Smoking service offers 1 session a week for six weeks. You will receive tailored information on medications and help on how to change how you think and behave, and support to get you through the hardest part of quitting. If you feel you are ready to stop smoking then please ask our Reception Team for an appointment in the Stop Smoking Clinic. The first appointment is for 30 minutes, with weekly 15-minute follow-up appointments. We look forward to seeing you then.
Spirometry Testing – We have started spirometry testing again and are sending out invitations to patients who will benefit from this. This will be you if you have COPD or if you are currently being investigated for this. If you receive an invitation, please do contact us at the Surgery and arrange an appointment. Mercy, our Nurse, will do your spirometry testing.
